I Can't Hurt You UPDATED

(update) Just touched this up as best as I could, but I still suck at making the word bubbles. I encourage those who haven't read over this history to do so to better understand where her relationship with Snively came from.

Maybe Someday Part 1"Please, let me go-!" He could hear her dragging her bare feet against the dirty linoleum floors, trying to stall for time. The voice was laughably small, almost drowned out by the foot falls of the swatbots escorting her. "Please, I haven't done anything to you."
"Quiet," he barked in response. It was the same as every other Mobian that had been dragged unwillingly through these halls. They all cried. They all begged. They all died.
There was a brief moment of silence from her before that annoyingly timid sound came again. "Could you at least say what it is you want from me?"
He rolled his eyes. There was a time not too long ago when he might have enjoyed gloating over his new captive. A hundred lines to chill her to the bone ran through his mind all at once, but they were all tired threats he'd used a million times; Tired overused cliches that had once amused him but now bored him.

It's a snippet I've been meaning to do that I finally did this evening.

Celeste was born in the satam universe shortly after the overthrow of Robotnik. In an effort to gain more power for himself, Snively acquires Celeste by means of the bounty hunter Rosalyne and keeps her for a length of time, interrogating her about the source of all and the power of chaos. He threatens every sort of horribleness he can think of and Celeste as timid as she is tells him everything she knows. Claiming he's grown tired of her after several weeks, he claims he'll end her the next day, but when the time comes, he takes her outside the city and simply lets her go. As he turns to leave, she gives chase. Not understanding why he was doing this now that he had what he wanted, the forces of chaos within his grasp, she asks him why he let her go?

His only answer is that as stated above.

In a scene I have yet to draw, she embraces him from behind briefly before she departs to find Timber, swearing that she won't forget his kindness.

And she never does.

In the grand scheme of her life, this happens very early on. After her communing with the master emerald and learning her purpose but before she is absorbed once more into the source of all and becomes the white spirit. So when this happens, it's her very young and most innocent state and his unselfish act leaves quite an impression on her. One, that in years to come, makes her take an interest in his many incarnations and eventually leads her to falling in love with him.
