Miriam 'Sugar' the Squirrel

After conversing with my friend about the possibility of Celeste and Snively having an adopted child, I had to move forward with this.

A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ways off in Celeste and Snivelys future, this little bundle of confusion breaks up their quiet life in a secluded mountain area of mobius where the two chose to hide and settle. This is brief, but should give you some idea of what happens

Name- Miriam the Squirrel

Nicknames- Sugar, Peanut, Miri

Species- Grey Squirrel

Age- 4

Parents- Adopted by Celeste the Mink and Colin 'Snively' Kintobor

Likes- Her crocheted mittens from her first family, juice boxes, her adopted parents (particularly her adopted father Snively) Gadgets, tools, machines, dried fruits and most nuts, sign language

Dislikes- talking, being alone, pecans, the dark,

Background- Just a quick overview of how she came to be with Celeste and Snively (I will do a comic about this one day soon)- One day while Celeste was out at the market a dirty and hungry young squirrel began to follow her around, holding the hem of her dress as though it was the childs given right to do so. The child was quiet, refusing to speak but was able to make very small noises if extremely prompted. After an exhausting search of the area to locate the childs parents, Celeste determined the child was either lost or abandoned and couldn't be left by themselves. She brought her home much to her lovers dismay and agitation and the child stayed with them from that day forward.

After a brief amount of time the two were able to learn that the child no longer had her parents but why was a mystery as the little squirrel refused to speak, even to give them her name. Celeste took to calling the child Sugar as a nickname, but eventually after some time spent with them, Snively comes around and names the girl Miriam after the mother he never knew.

Personality- Sugar is willfully mute and never speaks, presumably because of some past experience that traumatized her. She must always sleep with a bright light on or be curled up safely in the bed of her new parents to feel safe and secure. At first, she latches onto Celeste because the woman 'felt safe' to her, but eventually develops a deep adoration for her surrogate father. She is fascinated by how different he looks than anyone else she had seen and loves to watch him work in his workshop, eager to hand him any tools he's reaching for. At first, Snively finds the presence of the kid irritating and worries constantly over the state of his shop and inventions because Sugar has a habit of sneaking in. Later though, he becomes fond of the child and becomes fiercely protective of the new member of their family. She is undeniably a daddys girl, favoring her mother only when her daddy is indisposed. It is her father that instills in her a deep love of technology and learning and is a hobby they come to share with one another.

Like most children she gets herself into a great deal of mischief and has to face the softness of a too permissive mother and a too stern father. Usually however, she's slick enough not to get caught. Her shenanigans is typically harmless however and for the most part, she stays out of trouble.

Affectionate and silly in her own right, the quiet little squirrel is the embodiment of a typical mobian child.
